Portland Oregon Home – What Can You Get For Your Money When You Remodel Your Kitchen?

By Katie Bain

Are you planning on remodeling
the kitchen in your Portland Oregon Home
before listing it for sale?

This is an awesome investment
to make since we spend the most time in our kitchens, and buyers are looking
for kitchens which serve many functions including: operating as a conversation
area, study location, or gathering spaces.

In this post I will share with
you what you can expect for your money when you remodel the kitchen in your Portland Oregon Home.

When
You Spend $5,000 to $7,000 Dollars

When you spend $5,000 to
$7,000 dollars you will be able to make some cosmetic improvements to your
kitchen like: granite counter tops in smaller kitchens, farmhouse kitchen sink,
new flooring and new kitchen lighting.
The quality of the products you choose will determine how far you can
make your money go and how many items you can update.

Sadly spending this amount of
money won’t get you a total kitchen renovation but, you can finish off your
kitchen renovation yourself by doing the following:

·
Add a backsplash behind your oven.

·
Refinish or repaint your cabinets.

·
Add new knobs or handles to cabinet doors and
drawers.

·
Painting the walls in your kitchen for a fresh,
clean look.

Make
Sure All Appliances Match

When doing most of the
renovations to your kitchen yourself make you purchase the same style of
appliances.

Example: Chosose all stainless
steel, all white, or all black appliances.
Although you can find discounted appliances almost anywhere, buyers
respond more favorably to a kitchen with matching appliances and this
will also help you to sell your home at your chosen price without having to
discount it because the buyer sees your kitchen and thinks: remodel.
