Portland Oregon Home for Sale – 3 Tips to Increase the Value of Your Home

As we get closer to the summer months you may be considering listing your Portland Oregon Home for Sale but before you do that make sure you follow these 3 tips for increasing the value of your home so you can ultimately sell your home for the most money.

Tip 1 – Start Cleaning Your Home Now

Don’t wait for three more months before you finally get your Portland Oregon Home ready for sale, start now by cleaning your home from top, to bottom, including those spaces which you might not use very often like coats closets or mud rooms.

Tip 2 – Go SLOW With Home Improvements

Let’s say you plan on renovating your house completely before selling it. If this is the case, start slow and focus on renovating one room at a time, even if your family room still has that 1980’s carpeting you want to rip out.

Going slow will help you to focus on doing a better quality job and insure that you are able to present the best possible “product” when you are ready to list your home for sale.

Tip 3 – Examine the Curb Appeal of Your Home

Before spending more money on the inside of your home, take a look at your homes curb appeal to see if there’s anything which is potentially unattractive like dead grass, overgrown trees / bushes or debris in your yard which could deter potential buyers from wanting to check out your Portland Oregon Home once it is for sale.
