How Do You Increase The Value Of Your Portland Oregon Home?

By EquityPoint Real Estate

How do you increase the value of your Portland Oregon Home?

In this post I will share with you 3 tips you can use to increase the value of your Portland Oregon Home without breaking your budget.

Tip 1 – Don’t Add a Bedroom to Your Home, Create One

Instead of spending the money to add a room to your Portland Oregon Home, you should consider creating one instead.  If your home has an unused attic, den, bonus room or attic space consider turning those areas of your home into an extra bedroom.

Tip 2 – Hire an Inspector BEFORE Listing Your Home

Don’t wait until after your home is sold for the home inspection. Have your home inspected NOW to avoid the possibility of having to accept a lower offer on your home since there may be one or more areas of your home which may need to be repaired.

Tip 3 – Add the Features Buyers Are Searching For

In 2015, buyers are more particular than ever before about the features they are searching for in a home including: granite / quartz counter tops, hardwood flooring and an open concept floor plan.

You should add the features buyers are searching for instead of choosing your own preferences, especially those which might not be desirable for your home.  This will increase the value of your home and the ease and quickness of a sale.
